  • How long is the Trial Period?
    May 15th to October 1st
  • How do I use it?
    Once you park, you will use one of the solar-powered, wireless stations located throughout the City core. Enter your license plate number and your credit card into the slot (just like the gas station) then follow the prompts on the screen. Alternatively, you can pay with the Park Idaho Springs ParkMobile app. Click one of the following links to download: App Store or Google Play - You'll then create a free account in only minutes, enter the zone number that can be found on the signage where you park then follow the prompts.
  • What are the hours of paid parking? How much will it cost?
    Hours: 7 days a week 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Miner St first 30 mins free, .25 cents per 15 minutes or $1 per hour for the first 3 hours, $5 per hour thereafter Street Parking: first 30 mins free, .25 cents for the first 15 minutes or $1 per hour for the first 3 hours, $5 per hour thereafter Parking Lots: first 30 mins free, .25 cents for the first 15 minutes or $1 per hour for the first 5 hours, $5 per hour thereafter. ***Please enter your license plate at kiosk or in ParkMobile App for your FREE 30 mins.***
  • Are handicapped spots paid?
    No
  • How do I obtain a residential or employee permit?
    For residential and employee permits please fill out the form on the Parking Permits page.
  • How long can I park for?
    You can make payment all day up until 7pm; however, should your car be parked after 12am from the previous day, you will receive a citation.

  • Can I Pay With Cash?
    You can pay with COINS ONLY - at the two different following kiosk locations: On Miner St & 15th Ave Main City Lot behind Beau Jo's Pizza
  • How many cars can I register?
    Residents: Any number of cars as long as all cars being registered are registered to member(s) of the household. Employees can register as many cars needed. Employees can only have one car in the lot at the same time.
  • What Lots and Streets are paid parking?

  • What if I have a short term rental? Where do the guest park the cars?
    All guests of a short term rental have off street parking only.
  • If I get a citation/violation, how much does it cost?"
    Citations are $32.00. If your citation is not paid within 10 days, it will double to $64.00. You may pay online on the Citations page.
  • Can Clear Creek County Residents park in Idaho Springs for free?
    Clear Creek county Residents can register online to park for free in paid parking lots
  • What is Interstate Parking's contact policy?
    Interstate will return calls and emails next business day.
  • How many free spots are there for residents?
    There are over 300 FREE spots for residents to park in within the paid parking boundaries.
  • As a Resident or Employee do I need to pay for a permit?
    Absolutely not!
  • I Shouldn’t have gotten this ticket! What do I do?
    You can file an appeal to dispute your ticket on the Citations page.
  • What is this new parking management system?
    The City of Idaho Springs has partnered with Interstate Parking of Colorado LLC to provide a new, more efficient system to make parking easier, more readily available and faster than before. Residents and employees will continue to receive free parking via their registered license plate. Visitors will park, then pay via our solar powered, paperless kiosks or on the Park Idaho Springs App on their smartphone.
  • Is Miner St paid parking?
    The first 30 minutes are free, then Miner St is paid parking for EVERYONE between the hours of 10a-7pm
  • Does Interstate Parking share private information about users?
    Interstate does not share any information we collect.
  • What if my appeal is denied?
    You can appeal in civil court through the city of Idaho Springs. There is a court fee of $30.
